Rich agenda at Outlook Asia Print
Friday, 01 February 2013

An impressively full programme has been arranged for the first EDANA Outlook Asia conference which will take place at the Raffles City Convention Centre in Singapore from March 13-14.

The show is being held for the first time outside Europe this year, with the 2012 event in Barcelona, Spain, attracting over 350 delegates to hear the very latest on issues surrounding nonwovens for the personal care products markets.

In Singapore, keynote speakers will include Takahisa Takahara, president and CEO of Unicharm, who will explain how demand has expanded explosively in various personal care markets in recent years. Gerd Ries of Johnson & Johnson will examine the regulatory regimes for absorbent hygiene products and moves towards global harmonisation, and Tommy Kong of REACH24H will look at Asia’s chemical regulations and how they compare with the EU’s established REACH programme.

Consumer behaviour in Asia will be the subject of Akira Shimizu of Keio University in Japan and SCA’s approach to sustainability on the continent will be outlined by general counsel Wesley Chiu.
