Japan’s Teijin is to establish a closed-loop polyester recycling system in China.
The company is setting up Zhejiang Jiaren New Materials in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, in a joint venture with Jinggong Holding Group.
Through the JV, Teijin will chemically recycle polyester, as well as manufacturing and selling the resulting fibres, usuing its advanced proprietary chemical recycling technology and the business expertise it has cultivated in the global expansion of its existing Eco Circle closed-loop system.
