Nonwovens for rotor blades
Monday, 30 July 2012

The Freudenberg Group has developed a range of solutions and services for the fast growing American wind energy market, including nonwovens for composites, as both surface protecting layers and as the core material in the production of rotor blades.

Surfacing nonwovens improve the resistance of the composites to both corrosion and abrasion defects, while the core materials are employed to reduce weight and to increase mechanical strength, considerably cutting costs.
