P&G hooks up with the EPA

Procter & Gamble has signed a new five-year cooperative research and development agreement with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which is aiming to develop new tools for optimising sustainable processes in manufacturing.

The EPA’s National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL) will work with P&G – the largest buyer of nownovens worldwide – on its commitments to powering plants with 100% renewable energy and using 100% renewable materials or recyclate for all its products and packaging.

P&G further aims to eventually have zero consumer or manufacturing waste going to landfills.
