While wipes are currently the key end-use for Lenzing’s cellulosic fibres in nonwovens, the emphasis now is on developing highly specialized applications including those for advanced wound care, hygiene applications such as femcare, light and heavy incontinence products and battery separators and precursors.
And increasingly, nonwovens with better mechanical properties will compete with what are at present woven applications.
