At the recent ANEX show in Seoul, Korea, distributor NTex of Taiwan showcased AddiFlex – a solution for the creation of oxo-biodegradable products that could find wide application in suitable disposables based on spunmelt nonwovens. The Canadian manufacturer of professional, manual cleaning tools Atlas Graham has already introduced a first example of what is possible – the Biomop, which will degrade to a fraction of its original size within just six weeks. Addiflex, an additive for creating biodegradability in plastic, has been developed by Add-X Biotech AB, a Swedish biotech company located in Gothenburg which has been working within the biodegradable business for more then 15 years. |
