Natural fibre packaging points the way

Procter & Gamble partnered with moulded fibre supplier Be Green Packaging to develop its new packaging for the Fusion ProGlide – which provides an early indication of the consumer giant’s ambitious push towards eventual 100% renawable content for its vast product range.

Be Green, based in Santa Barbara, California, has developed patent pending pulping technologies to produce form packaging from fibres including bullrush, kenaf, wheatstraw, bamboo, rice and bagasse – suggesting down-the-line potential synergies with the nonwovens industry.
